Castle of Illusion, starring Mickey Mouse, good tribute, in a sense of Disney games. What must we learn from Castle of Illusion version of 2013? Sega delivers a set of platforms neat, nice and pleasant to handle. The only real problem is its reduced life span. The overall experience is fun, but too quickly folded. Castle of Illusion devours too quickly and once completed , it will not return necessarily.

Summer 2013 is definitely marked by the seal of Disney magic . After an excellent remake of DuckTales : DuckTales , it was the turn of Castle of Illusion back on center stage . We remember a set of platforms rather striking for the time since the famous mouse resulted in a series of very inspired and full of ideas gameplay despite playability for the very classic hit levels ( running, jumping ) . The formula has not changed for the remake which also retains the scenario, the structure and philosophy of the original game.

To make it short , the story is about Mickey exploring every part of a mysterious castle to deliver Minnie from the clutches of the witch Mizrabel . Like the album Mega Drive, the castle serves as a central area which gives access to various levels. The game , however, is cut slightly differently than his older shows . We recover five worlds, but everyone sees now divided into two acts , plus a third consistently booked the boss of the world in question. By adding tiny tutorial tower Mizrabel ( a novelty in the game) and fight against the witch itself, we are left with a total of twelve levels to explore and six bosses to face . Yes , it's really little, and yes, we toured the issue very quickly. Allow two hours to finish the game in a straight line , and about twice to 100% complete.
Indeed, each of the ten main levels contains seventy-five diamonds, a statuette and a special item that will find to be sure you have seen it all. Diamonds are used to open access to the following worlds, statues statues to unlock the boss in the hall of the castle, and special items to get tables (production drawings) or new outfits for Mickey (suit , adventurer). The game has been completely redone , or rather modernized , almost as if the team was able to translate with today's means all ideas conceived by Sega teams of the time. The result is a rather nice shot of the game and causing that also manages to achieve a little old-school perfume rather pleasant . Add more than Sega of Australia did not seek to build new game mechanics Instead, the studio chose to stick to the basics of the genre: the arrow keys to move, A button to jump to another projectiles and that's all. In this regard, the gameplay has evolved a lot since the release for a few months ago . Now , Mickey meets our orders , while maintaining a certain heaviness in his jumps . The oldest of us also appreciate all the work done to dust this great classic platform retouching graphics and soundtrack (topics 16 bits can be selected to replace the new orchestrations ) . The sets are full of details and small effects to give life to the adventure and there is even a nod to the recent remake of DuckTales . However, we must face the facts : short and ultra easy, Castle of Illusion devours too quickly and once completed , it will not return necessarily .
