Kingdom Hearts Final Mix version

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix still has the merit, including an unpublished episode in Europe: the remake Chain of Memories. The first installment is also offered in Final Mix version, which will not fail to interest the players who were not yet provided. Damage is not playable but only traced through a condensed cinematic.
Kingdom Hearts Final Mix versionAlthough, since 2006 and the output of the second part, all eyes are turned to the enigmatic and highly anticipated Kingdom Hearts III, the series does not yet seem determined to want to move up a gear. To prove this Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix which has no other claim than to have a little trip back in time to the (re)discovery, among others, the first installment of the saga. However, a good opportunity for beginners to catch up while enjoying the benefits of HD.

Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix HD is a compilation of the first three games of the series, or rather two and a half games, since the DS episode is not playable, as will be explained a little further. The menu gives direct access to the three segments in question, all of which are common to be dubbed into English, the texts being translated into French. Obviously, we would have preferred that Square Enix gives us a choice between English and Japanese voices, and why not with the French dubbing of the first game which was made on the occasion of the release of the PS2 version in 2002. The advantage is that we finally get the title in the Final Mix version of hitherto available only on import. It is therefore all the bonuses specific to this version, starting with its secret additional scenes and full scale. This does not change history, but these sequences help to clarify some gray areas of the scenario. This is also the fourth optional boss, awesome, obviously.

Fans are sure to also detect some other small changes, especially at the bestiary, weapons and accessories, or even attack techniques, but these changes are relatively minor. For the rest, the first game in this compilation that has undergone several improvements directly related to ergonomics. Thus, the gameplay has been optimized to correct the most obvious shortcomings, such as camera issues that are partly determined by the ability to control the viewing angle with the right stick (which was not possible on PS2 this first part). Another example, it is no longer necessary to scroll the action menu to interact with the environment to open chests in particular, which was unnecessarily tedious. Note also the addition of PS3 trophies and being able to choose from the outset between three levels specific to the Final Mix version of difficulty.

Chain of Memories: The remake of the remake of the episode GBA

The second segment of this Kingdom Hearts Final Mix version compilation is probably the European public the most interesting part of this compilation. Indeed, Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories was never released in our country and fans of the series had no other choice but to pounce on import. Remember that this is the 3D remake (PS2) of the episode GBA Chain of Memories for the first time on PS3 in HD. Again, trophies are emerging and three levels of difficulty are available from the start. As in the original version, Sora is not the only playable character since you have completed a first adventure to access the section dedicated to Riku. If the changes in terms of gameplay there are still relatively minor, many European players will discover this 3D remake for the first time, and we can say that it completely transcends the GBA version.

The game obviously retains the distinctive feature of the original title, namely his fights related to the use of cards to make combos, trigger special techniques, throwing strikes invocations or neutralize their opponents. For the gameplay of this episode is much more tactical than the other components, the player to get the right cards at the right time based on their value to counter those of the enemy. One of the key elements of soft and lies in the construction of the deck of cards and especially since its evolution continues to acquire new cards, techniques and invocations over our progress in the game that optimize continuously our deck. Moreover, the members of Organization XIII play a major role in this episode is truly a must for fans of the series.

Kingdom Hearts Final Mix version : 358/2 Days: Just for the eyes!

The Kingdom Hearts series has this frustrating it imposes on the fan to get nearly as many consoles there are different episodes to be able to discover a whole. For this reason, many people who have not played tracks released on handhelds (GBA, DS, PSP and 3DS), or at least a good portion of them. So when Square Enix announced that this compilation would include the first episode DS, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, the news was enough to delight the most players. Unfortunately, this is actually not the game but just a summary of its kinematic found here on PS3. Certainly, it does not allow those missed to catch up, but they can at least finally know all the narrative elements of this album. A key point in this series which has proven over the episodes, excessively complex on the screenplay level we could have imagined at the time of initial release.

A fun game, Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix,
This segment remastered in HD, dubbed in English and subtitled in French. All sequences are chapitrées and sometimes interspersed with some fixed screens combining artworks and texts to summarize the most important dialogues of the DS version. As a bonus, there are also all log entries Roxas in Organization XIII, all intelligence reports and an encyclopedia of unusual characters. With only two and a half games included in this Kingdom Hearts 1.5 HD Remix, can not take too many risks bet that Square Enix has very probably a second compilation for that may meet Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix +, Birth by Sleep Re: Coded and Dream Drop Distance, but nothing is confirmed yet....
